Translation

A farmer and his wife, who gave birth to five children at once in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, are in a state of ecstasy.

Dr Ayoka Clinic and Maternity Center, Oke-Ado, Ogbomosho, told BBC Yoruba that the woman, Funmilayo Oluwadara, herself had given birth to the children without surgery, on fourth day, March, 2021 . The childrem were without any cirurgical the assistance, with more or less 30 minutes interval between them.

The husband, when seked about, answered that “She is at peace with our children”.

The doctor also explained that the woman had already given birth to five children, bringing the total number of children she and her husband had to ten.

The newborn babies are four girls and, a boy.

The woman is said to be 38 years old, and her husband, a Togolese farmer, Idowu Oluwadara, is 40 years old, living in the village of Ahoroko in Oyo.

Mr Oluwadara told the BBC he was in a state of shock, when he was told his wife was pregnant.

"At first, I thought about to run away, but when I thought she is my wife, and it was me the one that drove her pregnant I stopped," she said.

He has been begging for help from the government and the public for help, as they have not yet paid for the medical expenses.
